I am Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Ohio State University.   For me, the Emeritus title implies continued contributions to the University and field of psychology but to my grown children it means continued eligibility for OSU football tickets! After an enjoyable career at Ohio State, I continue to find writing and research on psychology very satisfying especially in relation to peace, conflict and social justice. I also enjoy growing the field of “peace psychology” and helping others find venues for doing the same. To those ends, I have edited a three-volume set entitled, Encyclopedia of Peace Psychology and serve as Series Editor for the Peace Psychology Book Series. I view peace psychology as an area that seeks to deepen our understanding of the means of promoting harmony and equity in human relations and systems. Children and Peace

This open access book brings together discourse on children and peace from the 15th International Symposium on the Contributions of Psychology to Peace, covering issues pertinent to children and peace and approaches to making their world safer, fairer and more sustainable. The book is divided into nine sections that examine traditional themes (social construction and deconstruction of diversity, intergenerational transitions and memories of war, and multiculturalism), as well as contemporary issues such as Europe’s “migration crisis”, radicalization and violent extremism, and violence in families, schools and communities.
