    Angela Mitchell

    Dr. Angela Mitchell is the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Wilmington College. She started teaching at WC in 2002. Angela was appointed Area Coordinator (equivalent to Department Chair) in 2004. Under her leadership, the department has made a good deal of progress over the last several years by streamlining our course offerings, increasing the rigor of the program, and preparing students for future careers through experiential learning. In 2010 she was recognized by the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of College and Universities for her teaching excellence. In July 2024, Angela left the classroom to move into administration as the Associate VPAA. She also serves as the advisor to Delta Omega Theta sorority. She is very active in the community serving on the Executive Board of Main Street Wilmington since 2012. Prior to Wilmington College, Angela spent 5 years as a senior research chemist in product development at Procter & Gamble.
